We are looking forward to an exciting 2021 Spring season after COVID19 unexpectedly and abruptly ended our 2020 season midway into the schedule.
Many of our athletes have prior experience not only in the realm of semi-professional football, but also have such great talent that they have had the opportunity to play at the championship level.
Our organization exists and functions based on partnerships with companies who provide generous sponsorships, which enables us to be the best we can possibly be. We are continually striving to be recognized as the most professional, organized, and talented developmental football team throughout San Diego County.
Our endeavors include acquiring television, newspaper, and radio coverage. Through the generosity of our sponsors, we have the ability to be fiscally responsible to our organization in order to thrive and succeed.
Sponsorships help minimize costs associated with fees for field rental, referees, practice field, uniforms, helmet decals, league association, and other ancillary costs.
The San Diego Silverbacks put forth every effort to succeed at building an exceptional organization, while partnering with our sponsors. We are an organization based on respect and integrity, that discovers, transforms, and creates a platform to showcase superior athletic talent in and around San Diego County.
The San Diego Silverbacks' organization is deeply saddened by the news of James Haiman’s sudden passing on January 21st, 2019 due to a fatal motorcycle accident. Words cannot express the tremendous grief the San Diego Silverbacks' family is experiencing over the tragedy of his passing.
As a football team, family, and community, we are devastated. We mourn the tragic loss of life of our dear teammate and brother. Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of James.
As we struggle to return to normalcy, we will celebrate his life with all the good memories we have shared. We will honor his legacy by annually awarding one player with the “James Haiman Award of Dedication”. James won this award in 2018, by vote of his teammates, coaches, and staff. He was the epitome of a friend, he was caring, respectful, and was always willing to help wherever needed. He will be truly missed and forever remembered.
If you are able, there is a GoFundMe account set up for funeral expenses. ANY amount helps. Click here to donate.
